Fun With Sugar 2017
Sunday, April 23, 2017 from 2:00 to 5:00 p.m.
Central Park Hall, Tulsa State Fairgrounds
Well, hello my lovelies! Make a cup of tea, pull up a chair and read on … The OSSAS celebrated its 23rd anniversary with another success story. Our volunteers are simply gold; working without expectation of any reimbursement; an exceptional gift to benefit their fellow sugar artists past and future. Thank you all!
SUGAR & SPICE and everything nice will pepper the day at FWS 2017. You want to learn? Then welcome to an inspirational afternoon. There is nothing more entertaining than joining together sharing thoughts and ideas about decorative sugar. After all it’s the thing we most love to do!
With wedding season upon us here’s a chance to gather a few new techniques to update skills and gain new perspective. Award-winning artists with incredible resumes have volunteered to spend time showing new concepts and mediums ranging from cooked sugar, chocolate art, edible images with an edge, rolled fondant, gingerbread, gum paste and buttercream the latter using Russian tips … surprise ideas that will appeal to all levels.
Presentations will include elements and instructions to help create amazing cakes, toppers, sugar flowers or side designs and accents. I always figure if I learn three things when I attend an afternoon of workshops, the time is well spent and worth the price of admission. Bring a notebook to keep track!
GOOD NEWS: Brilliant coverage of our recent show was seen in The Tulsa World, Baking Business Australia, Cake Craft & Decoration UK and Baking Buyer US and Modern Wedding Cakes Australia, Cakes & Sugarcraft and American Cake Decorating.
The Doubletree Warren Place will honor the show rate of $83 for FWS 2017, but you must email Kerry asap and she will get your name listed.
