Brioche Bread Pudding is a delightful dessert that’s perfect for cozy gatherings. With its rich flavors and comforting texture, it’s a dish that warms the heart and pleases the palate. Let’s turn those simple ingredients into something truly memorable.

For substitutions, if you’re not a fan of creme fraiche, sour cream can step in without a hitch. When it comes to the brioche, a good quality loaf is key for a rich flavor, though any soft bread can work in a pinch. If allergies are a concern, consider using dairy-free alternatives for milk and cream products, keeping an eye on the eggs as well.

- 300 g brioche bread
- 1/4 liter milk
- 1 cup creme fraiche or 1 cup sour cream
- 2 eggs
- 120 g sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 250 g golden raisins
- 100 g candied orange peel

- Stir in 250 g golden raisins and 100 g candied orange peel into the mixture.
- Pull off smallish hunks of 300 g brioche bread and stir them into the milk mixture, really mashing it around.
- Let the mixture stand for about ten minutes to allow the brioche to soak up the liquid, then smoosh it around some more with a wooden spoon, being careful not to overdo it.
- Spoon the mixture into a loaf mold, preferably silicone for easy unmolding later.
- Before baking, let the bread pudding cool in the pan to avoid sticking.
- Bake in a preheated oven at 200 degrees C for about 35 minutes, or until a knife comes out clean.
