Brownie Balls (A.k.a. Pms Dessert.) are a delightful treat that brings together rich chocolate and buttery goodness in a bite-sized form. Perfect for satisfying those sweet cravings, the little gems are sure to bring a smile to your face.

If you’re looking to switch things up, using margarine instead of butter or vice versa can work beautifully in the recipe, but don’t forget that unsweetened baking chocolate is a must for that deep chocolate flavor. Chopped pecans can easily replace walnuts for those who prefer a different nutty taste. Always check for nut allergies if sharing the treats with others, and make sure to source quality chocolate for the richest flavor.

Brownie Balls (A.k.a. Pms Dessert) Recipe
Ingredients
- 1/2 cup butter or 1/2 cup margarine
- 2 ounces unsweetened baking chocolate
- 3/4 cup sugar
- 1 egg
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1 3/4 cups flour
- 1/2 cup chopped walnuts (or Pecans.)
- powdered sugar
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375 degrees F.
- Melt 1/2 cup butter or margarine and 2 ounces of unsweetened baking chocolate in a medium saucepan over low heat, or opt for the microwave; just give it about 2 minutes until the butter or margarine is melted.
- Once melted, set the mixture aside to cool for five minutes.
- In the meantime, in a large bowl, stir together 3/4 cup sugar, 1 egg, 1 teaspoon vanilla extract, and 1/4 teaspoon salt until everything is well blended.
- Next, mix the cooled chocolate and butter or margarine until it’s nice and smooth, then combine it with the sugar mixture you just prepared.
- Now, stir in 1 3/4 cups flour and 1/2 cup chopped walnuts (or pecans) until fully incorporated.
- Shape the mixture into 1-inch balls and place them 2 inches apart on an ungreased baking sheet.
- Bake for 8 to 10 minutes, or until the edges are set but the centers are still a touch soft.
- While they are still warm, roll the brownie balls in powdered sugar for a sweet finish.
- Transfer the balls to wire racks to cool completely.
- Once cool, roll them in powdered sugar again for an extra delightful dusting.
- Store your brownie balls in an airtight container to keep them fresh.
