For those with dietary restrictions, all-purpose flour can be swapped with gluten-free flour to keep things inclusive. If you’re not a fan of slivered almonds, feel free to omit them or use crushed walnuts or pecans for a different crunch. It’s always a good idea to use high-quality cream cheese for that rich and creamy texture that truly shines in the fudge.

Cheesecake Fudge Recipe
Ingredients
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 (8 ounce) package cream cheese, cut up
- 2 eggs
- 1 1/2 cups butter, cut up
- 3/4 cup slivered almonds
- 1 package creamy chocolate fudge frosting mix (for 2 layer cake)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350 degrees. In a large bowl, combine 2 cups of all-purpose flour, 1 1/2 cups of butter cut up, and some brown sugar. Beat with an electric mixer on low until the butter is evenly mixed into the dry ingredients. You can also use a pastry blender if you prefer a hands-on approach.
- Spread the buttery mixture into an ungreased 13 x 9 x 2-inch pan, making sure to press it down evenly.
- Pop the pan into the oven and bake for about 10 to 12 minutes, until it’s lightly golden and fragrant.
- While the crust is baking, mix together 1 package of creamy chocolate fudge frosting mix and the 8 ounces of cut-up cream cheese in a separate bowl until they are well combined and smooth.
- Add 2 eggs to the bowl and beat until the mixture is silky and free of lumps.
- Once the crust is out of the oven, carefully spread the chocolate mixture over it while it’s still warm. Don’t forget to sprinkle the 3/4 cup of slivered almonds on top for that extra crunch and flavor.
- Return the pan to the oven and bake for an additional 30 minutes or until the chocolate layer is set and the edges are bubbling slightly.
- Allow to cool completely in the pan before cutting into bars. Store in the refrigerator for the best texture.
