When it comes to substitutions, feel free to swap almonds for pecans if you prefer, or even leave the nuts out altogether for a nut-free version. Quality ingredients make a big difference; use fresh dried cherries for better flavor and texture. For those with allergies, check that your nuts are safe and consider using gluten-free flour to accommodate dietary needs.
