Cookies ‘n’ Cream Brownies are a delightful dessert that combines rich, fudgy brownies with a creamy frosting and crunchy Oreo bits. The recipe is an indulgent treat that will leave you craving more with each bite. If you love brownies and cookies, you are in for a sweet surprise.

For a twist, consider using gluten-free brownie mix or even a different brand of cookie if Oreos aren’t your go-to. If you have dairy allergies, non-dairy cream cheese and butter alternatives can work as substitutes. The key is to use good quality ingredients to ensure your brownies are as scrumptious as possible.

Cookies ‘n’ Cream Brownies Recipe
Ingredients
- 1 (19 1/2 ounce) package brownie mix
- 1/2 cup vegetable oil
- 1/4 cup water
- 2 large eggs
- 3 cups coarsely crushed Oreo cookies, divided
- 6 ounces cream cheese, softened
- 1/4 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 2 1/4 cups powdered sugar, sifted
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F and position the rack in the lower third of the oven. Spray the bottom only of a 13 x 9 inch baking pan with cooking spray.
- In a mixing bowl, combine 1 (19 1/2 ounce) package brownie mix, 1/2 cup vegetable oil, 1/4 cup water, and 2 large eggs. Use a wooden spoon to mix until just blended, ensuring all dry ingredients are moistened. Stir in 1 1/2 cups of the coarsely crushed Oreo cookies.
- Spread the brownie batter evenly into the prepared pan, ensuring it fills the corners nicely.
- Bake for 28-30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean or almost clean. Be careful not to overbake; we want fudgy perfection. Transfer the brownies to a wire rack and allow them to cool completely.
- To make the frosting, beat together 6 ounces of softened cream cheese, 1/4 cup softened unsalted butter, and 1 teaspoon vanilla extract with an electric mixer on medium speed until blended and smooth.
- Gradually add in 2 1/4 cups sifted powdered sugar, mixing until fully incorporated and smooth. The frosting is creamy and dreamy.
- Spread the frosting over the cooled brownies, and sprinkle the remaining 1 1/2 cups of cookie crumbs on top.
- Finally, cut the frosted brownies into squares for serving.
