When it comes to the custard, feel free to experiment with different flavors, although pineapple and vanilla are favorites. If you have allergies or dietary restrictions, consider using a dairy-free milk alternative, and ensure the whipped cream is suitable for your needs. Fresh fruits can vary based on seasonality, so use what you can find; just be mindful of any allergies, especially with fruits like cherries.
