If you’re craving a rich and creamy dessert, the Philadelphia New York Cheesecake Squares are a delightful treat that hits the spot. The easy recipe combines a buttery graham cracker crust with a smooth cheesecake filling, making it perfect for any gathering or just a sweet indulgence at home.

Using Philadelphia cream cheese ensures a smooth texture, but any high-quality cream cheese works well. For those with dietary restrictions, consider substituting the eggs with a flaxseed mixture or using a dairy-free cream cheese. If cherry pie filling doesn’t tickle your fancy, fresh berries or even chocolate ganache can be delightful alternatives. Just make sure to select quality ingredients for the best flavor.

Philadelphia New York Cheesecake Squares Recipe
Ingredients
- 1 1/4 cups graham cracker crumbs
- 1/4 cup butter, melted
- 4 (250 g) packages Philadelphia brick cream cheese, softened
- 1 cup sugar
- 3 tablespoons flour
- 1 tablespoon vanilla
- 1 cup sour cream
- 4 eggs
- 1 (540 ml) can cherry pie filling
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 325°F and line a 31×9-inch baking sheet with foil, allowing the ends to extend over the sides of the pan for easy removal.
- In a mixing bowl, combine 1 1/4 cups of graham cracker crumbs and 1/4 cup of melted butter, then press the mixture firmly into the bottom of the prepared pan to form the crust.
- In a large bowl, beat together 4 packages of softened cream cheese, 1 cup of sugar, 3 tablespoons of flour, and 1 tablespoon of vanilla using an electric mixer on medium speed until everything is well blended.
- Add 1 cup of sour cream to the mixture and mix until combined. Then, add 4 eggs one at a time, mixing on low speed after each addition, just until blended to avoid overmixing.
- Pour the cheesecake filling over the crust, spreading it evenly, and bake for 40-45 minutes or until the center is almost set.
- Once baked, allow the cheesecake to cool completely at room temperature, then refrigerate for at least 4 hours or overnight to set fully.
- To serve, carefully remove the cheesecake from the pan using the foil handles, and top it with the cherry pie filling before slicing.
- Leftover cheesecake should be stored in the refrigerator.
