Serving Size1 (72 g)

Ingredients

  • 4 ounces white almond bark or 4 ounces butterscotch almond bark, chopped
  • 12 large pretzel twists
  • 12 pretzel sticks
  • 24 miniature semisweet chocolate chips
  • 12 red candy-coated chocolates
  • fruit leather
  • 12 miniature green candy-coated chocolates

Instructions

  1. Place 4 ounces of white almond bark or butterscotch almond bark in a 1-cup microwavable measuring cup. Microwave uncovered on High for 30 to 60 seconds, stirring every 15 seconds, until melted and smooth.
  2. Dip each of the 12 large pretzel twists into the melted candy coating, ensuring they are well covered. Place them on a sheet of waxed paper and let stand until the coating is set.
  3. If the candy coating starts to cool and thicken, simply rewarm it in the microwave. Next, dip the top 2 inches of each of the 12 pretzel sticks into the melted candy coating; attach each pretzel stick to the bottom of a pretzel twist to form a reindeer body. Place them back on the waxed paper.
  4. To create the adorable reindeer faces, press 24 miniature semisweet chocolate chips into the pretzel twists for eyes, and use 12 red candy-coated chocolates for the nose, securing them with additional melted candy coating if needed.
  5. Cut strips of fruit leather to make scarves, and attach them around the necks of the reindeer using the melted candy coating. Lastly, press 12 miniature green candy-coated chocolates onto the body for buttons, again using candy coating to secure them. Allow everything to set on the waxed paper before moving.
  6. Store the coated pretzel rods loosely covered at room temperature for no longer than 2 weeks.
