The Simple Strawberry Trifle is a delightful dessert that combines layers of fresh strawberries, sweet pudding, and fluffy angel food cake. Perfect for any gathering, the treat is not only easy to make but also visually stunning, ensuring it will be the star of the show at your next event.

When making the Simple Strawberry Trifle, feel free to adjust the sugar based on the sweetness of your strawberries. If you are looking to make it gluten-free, consider using a gluten-free cake. Fresh strawberries are ideal, but frozen can work in a pinch, just be aware they may release more juice than fresh ones, altering the texture of the trifle.

Simple Strawberry Trifle Recipe
Ingredients
- 7 ounces instant vanilla pudding
- 6 cups milk
- 6 cups fresh strawberries
- 1/3 cup sugar (more or less depending on sweetness of berries)
- 1 angel food cake
Instructions
- Stem and slice 6 cups of fresh strawberries and add 1/3 cup sugar if needed, tossing until the sugar dissolves.
- Prepare 7 ounces of instant vanilla pudding using 6 cups of milk as directed on the package, and let it soft set for about 5 minutes.
- In a large clear glass bowl or trifle bowl, tear half of the angel food cake into bite-sized pieces.
- Layer in half of the strawberries over the cake pieces.
- Spoon half of the pudding over the strawberries and cake.
- Repeat the layers with the remaining angel food cake, strawberries, and pudding.
- If you have time, allowing the trifle to sit in the fridge for an hour helps it absorb the juices of the berries, but it can be served right away.
